Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Structure IQ Ltd ("Structure IQ", "we", "us", "our") provides construction training, induction, and content services for the UK construction industry. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to visitors of structureiq.co.uk, people who submit our contact form, and users of our Members Area.

Who we are

Structure IQ Ltd is registered in England & Wales, company number 17059071, with a registered address at 6 Malvern Drive, Sunnyside, Rotherham, England, S66 3XB. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Structure IQ Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit our contact form, we collect: your full name, company or organisation, work email address, phone number (if provided), the service you're enquiring about, and the content of your message.

Members Area account information

If you're issued a Members Area account, we (via WordPress) store your username, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password — we never store your password in plain text. We also keep basic login activity, such as sign-in times, to help keep accounts secure.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server automatically logs standard technical information for security and troubleshooting purposes, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, and the date and time of your visit.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the site — for example, to keep you signed in to the Members Area and to remember your cookie preferences. At the time of writing, we do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form
  • To provide, maintain, and secure the Members Area
  • To deliver the training, induction, and content services you've asked us about
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of our website
  • To meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Our legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to respond to your enquiry or provide services you've requested), legitimate interests (to keep our website and Members Area secure and functioning properly), and legal obligation (for example, keeping financial records). Where we rely on consent — for instance, for future marketing communications — you can withdraw it at any time.

How we share your information

We share personal data only where necessary, with:

  • Our website hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf to keep the site running
  • Email service providers, to deliver and receive enquiry correspondence
  • Professional advisers (e.g. accountants, legal counsel) where necessary
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we're required to by law

We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected. Contact form enquiries are typically retained for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is required for legal or accounting reasons. Members Area account data is retained for as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case you wish to reactivate it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business and professional use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including secure password storage and access controls on our Members Area.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
